During the easter holidays (14th April-21st April 2014) i designed a produced a 24 page magazine for a local rugby, Newton Aycliffe RUFC. The magazine was created to commend the clubs 2013/2014 season. The club previously used to produced an annual magazine called the 'Ayxfiles' but stopped several years back because their equiptment was dated and the magazines they were producing were not very good. However this year the approached me to re-start the annual magazine, making it look much more modern and proffesional.

Following, the club gave me a ruff idea of what content the wanted in it and all photographs feauting the club were provided by the clubs proffesional photographer. However i had to create adverts for their sponsors and come up with interesting content/ articles to fill blank pages which the club did not provide any contact for. To keep the magazine looking professional i ensured that all adverts for sponsors were positioned on the left of all double page spreads.

To keep my article looking proffessional and to dreate consitency throughout the magazine i used margins and guides, this allowed me to also ensure that all features lined up accordingly. The magazine was to be printed by a local proffesional printing company called the 'Newton Press'. Therefore i had to ensure that all magazine front cover, back cover and all the douple page spreads had a 1cm bleed on them incase any of the companys printers were a couple of milimetres out.
